Golfland USA, 855 E. El Camino Real Sunnyvale, CA, 94087-2937 408/245.1322

I must admit that I am a little biased when it comes to this particular course. Having come up in Cupertino, Golfland USA was the place to play mini-golf, not only was it the closest but it also proved to be one of the best. My opinion remains the same. Sadly, now that I live in the East Bay it is not the closest, but it is still worth the frequent pilgrimage to play in the glow of its mini-golf monuments. This place has all the mini-golf icons that you crave. The Wonky Castle, the Requisite Windmill, the Exotic Pagoda, as well as many others. But, the important thing is the variety of shots. The two courses are very different and each features an array of different style shots. The overall skill level may be a little on the easy side for some rabid mini-golfers, but the course does tend to leave one feeling pretty good, which afterall is not a bad thing. The biggest complaint I have for this course is the complete lack of metal clubs, this is of course a problem we are seeing pop up more and more. I know this is some sort of karmic revenge for all the times I swatted the lava rocks and put little dents in them...

PS The arcade is quite large and has a really good selection of newer pinball tables... It also currently houses a Dance Dance Revolution machine which is quite a hoot.
